Rick Hendrick says he doesn’t foresee any problems inside his championship-winning team with the coming incorporation of Dale Earnhardt Jr next year.
Hendrick scored a major hit by signing NASCAR’s most popular driver earlier this year but it remains to be seen how his team will embrace Earnhardt Jr, his cousin and crew-chief Tony Eury Jr and all the baggage that comes with recruiting such a high-caliber driver.
Earnhardt’s signing could break the near perfect balance that the team currently have, which has allowed them to dominate the 2007 Nextel Cup season in unprecedented fashion, winning 18 out of the 36 races of the year with their four drivers, and taking one-two in the points with Jimmie Johnson and Jeff Gordon.
“I don’t see that as any more of a challenge than I had this year or we’ve had,” Hendrick said.

WRC: Loeb not concerned with GB win

By Glenn Freeman Tuesday, November 20th 2007, 16:24 GMT
Sebastien Loeb does not expect to take his first Rally GB victory in this year’s finale, as he is not prepared to take unnecessary risks in Wales.
The reigning world champion moved into the lead of the WRC drivers’ standings with his victory in Rally Ireland, and he now only needs fifth place in the final rally of the year to secure the title.
Loeb’s title rival Marcus Gronholm crashed out for the second rally in succession in Ireland last weekend, and the French driver is not prepared to get sucked into a battle for a rally win that he doesn’t need.
“It’s too stupid to try to win and to take all the risks in our position, to fight with Marcus,” Loeb told the WRC website.
“I don’t think (the win) will be this time.

Two-time NASCAR Nextel Cup champion Jimmie Johnson believes that his second consecutive title is just the beginning of a long spell of success.
The Hendrick Motorsports driver sealed the crown at Homestead for the second year running, but he feels that there is plenty more to come from his team.
“The good thing is I feel we’re just really hitting our stride,” said the 32-year-old.
